About The Owner
Hi, my name is Aaron Annis. I'm the owner at Sattva Health Gallery. The study of Oriental Medicine has been a trip around the world in the making for me. Early on, I developed an interest in other cultures and traditions. Upon completing my pre-medical program at the University of Illinois, where the paradigm of healing arts in non-western traditions etched a particular groove, I went to serve as a US Peace Corps volunteer in Namibia, Southern Africa. Later, I went on to complete seminary studies in Vaisnavism and Bhakti-Yoga at the Vrindavana Institute of Higher Education in India.
It was there that I began to take an interest in the traditional Indian practice of medicine, Ayurveda, and its affiliate limb of astrology, Jyotisha. Traditional Indian culture assigns different qualities to the world that surrounds and influences us. These qualities are interwoven and all pervading-much like threads that make up a garment. They influence each and every portion of our life: the foods we eat, the relationships we value, the careers we manage, and so on. It's suggested that actions and mindsets that are executed in the "quality of goodness," are sattvic in nature, and bring about clarity, harmony, balance and ultimately, self awareness. Cultivating a sattvic lifestyle allows one access to a healthier state of greater potential. My intent with Sattva Health Gallery is to honor my clients in their spectrum of healthcare needs and facilitate a path to personal betterment.
Upon returning stateside in late 1998, I pursued studies at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine and Oregon School of Massage. After over 5 years of rigorous training and clinical experience in primary care, I completed my Masters of Science in Oriental medicine. Currently I'm attending the Vedic Vidya Institute in San Rafael California furthering my education in Vedic astrology with the world-renowned author and jyotishi, Hart de Fouw.
In the spirit of "treating the whole person," I enjoy utilizing a conglomerate of methods to assist my clients' journey for betterment by addressing physical, emotional, and spiritual guidance. In addition to the Oriental medical tools of acupuncture and moxibustion, Chinese herbal medicines, Qi Gong and nutrition, I infuse elaborate Asian massage techniques and medical applications of astrology into my clients' care. Dr. Allison Siebecker Bio
Greetings, my name is Allison Siebecker. I practice Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture, Naturopathic Medicine and Chinese Medicine at Sattva Health Gallery.
I received my Bachelors degree with honors, from Rutgers University in 1991. For 20 years I worked in the natural food, supplement and body care industry, where I developed an expertise in nutrition. In 2005, I graduated from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine, earning dual degrees of Naturopathic Doctor and Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. Since that time I have had a successful primary care practice with specialties in endocrinology, pain relief, and facial rejuvenation acupuncture.
I was honored to receive the Best in Naturopathy award for my Nutrition article, Traditional Bone Broth in Modern Health and Disease, published in the Feb/Mar 2005 issue of the Townsend Letter for Doctors and Patients (www.townsendletter.com). Dr. Katanah Grossman Bio
Dr. Katanah Grossman graduated from Portland State University in 2002 where she earned her bachelors degree with a major in science. In 2006, Dr. Grossman graduated with honors from Western States Chiropractic College in Portland, Oregon. Throughout her time in chiropractic school, she was involved in the sports medicine club and elected to tutor multiple advanced chiropractic classes.
Dr. Grossman has since been treating patients in Newberg Oregon at a high volume clinic, and has expanded her practice into the Northwest area of Portland. Her vision is to help patients function closer to their physical and emotional best, recover from sickness and disability faster, and reduce the need of drugs and surgery in their life.
